Not sure if I should make a separate thread or just ask in here, but which FMs/fan campaigns take place between Thief 1 and 2? I'm fine with it merely being implied, as well.

There are probably hundreds taking place in that timeframe but one that comes to mind with a very tangible link between T1 and T2 is Troubling Transitions by Psych0sis. It takes place a few months after T1 and depicts the early rise of the Mechanists.

Ominous Bequest is another one. Subtle but clearly between T1 and T2, and a very great mission as well. I recommend the Gold version.
Oh, and of course its sequel, Broken Triad.

Thanks a lot! I played Ominous Bequest, and loved it. I plan on playing Calendra's Cistern 2.0, but it looks significantly older.

It is indeed older, and the visuals show it. But it is an interesting mission nevertheless, and was worth a replay for me a while ago. Also don't miss its sequel, the "Calendra's legacy" campaign.

I'm looking for a FM I played a few years ago, it's probably TMA. This is not the starting point of the mission. There is a harbor or canal. On the side of the canal you arrive at first there is a small restaurant, I think a seafood or fish restaurant. On the other side
of the canal there is a small red brick warehouse probably 2 or 3 stories high. The warehouse extends out into the canal. On the top floor of the warehouse is a small cargo bay with a chain or rope hoist extending out of it. I think there was a platform attached to the hoist. The only way to the warehouse is to swim to it. The warehouse is the only thing on that side of the canal to explore. I hope this will be enough info to help someone remember.

That was it. You saved me a lot of searching.

There was a mission that I saw on YouTube a while ago, I think it was what first introduced me to Thief but it was before I tried playing it (GOG says I bought Thief Gold in 2021, the video was probably from mid to late 2010s).
I remember the video was praising the FM's level design and was encouraging people to get into Thief and Thief modding, but I couldn't find the video again. All I remember about the mission was that it was a upper-floor focused city mission, the layout was somewhat square with one main road loop, and there was a corpse in red clothes found in a chest (I think in the Southeast but I could be wrong). At first I thought it could've been Endless Rain, but after playing it it definitely wasn't that. I think the level might have taken place during the day, but I'm not 100% on that. Unfortunately I can't remember much else beyond that.

Sounds a bit like the first mission of "Catacombs of Knoss".
