Thanks Fortuni. Sorry I said "mansion" in my comment above, I mean that it for sure was based on the Rumford Manor. That should make it easy to find, I will do it this weekend and update the thread when I find it.

Hey hey, I once played a great Thief 2 fan mission, where Garrett was to meet a contact, a female I think, and he found her under the blanket with a head cut off. Does anybody know what was the mission? I had it on na old computer and I forgot the name

That is the first mission in the two-mission campaign "Broken Triad". Unfortunately, it seems to be plagued by frequent script problems, and a definite fix does not appear to be there. For some people, both missions work, yet for some others, things won't work correctly.

The title explains most of it. There's a mansion mission where a "secret" leads you to an underground cathedral that the mechanists are exploring. I can't remember for the life of me what it is called but I remember really liking it.

You might be combining two missions there - Where the Unknown Lurks and Hidden Agenda.

It was Where the Unknown Lurks. Funny, I didn't realize how similar in concept those two missions are but it makes sense because I love both of them.

I remember a mission with a lunar pool, just like the one in Return to the Cathedral. There's even a reference to the cathedral in a book or note nearby. I cant remember for the life of me

I was suddenly reminded of a mission that I remember nothing about except that in one of the guard quarters there was a guard asleep on a bed, but he's dressed in a long nightgown and a nightcap instead of the usual guard outfit. I just thought it was charming, but I can't remember the name of the mission.
I'm late to this party, but... In "Tales from the Cleft: Vandal", you may find a guard almost like you described. He's wearing a nightgown, he's sleeping on one of the beds in a guards' sleeping quarter, but he does not have a nightcap. He still wears his helmet despite the nightgown.
