They had a thief-like appearance, but AFAIK, their sounds were those of Haunts - whisperings, rattling chains, and so on. Maybe a female Haunt liked a male thief a lot, they fell in love, and nine months later...:cheeky:

A mission where Garrett is lured to a mansion by someone claiming to be his father but it's a trap. First part of the mission Garrett can wander about the mansion unharmed ....

That is "Mysterious Invitation" by PsymH, which I just replayed a short while ago. The story is a bit different in v2.0 of the mission; the "I am your father" part has been changed. Gameplay remained unchanged, though.
After this mission, the series continues with "Ultima Ratio" and then three missions published as a campaign, called "The Mirror of Return".

There are several missions where someone is running around in a barrel, e.g., Gaetane's "Korrigans" ("Goblins"). I don't remember any barrel that could be identified as an apple barrel, though. And neither do I remember whether there were any people "wearing" barrels in that campaign.

From what I know there are 2 missions about that: Reunion with Basso (Mission 3) and Ten Little Taffers.
