Looking for a util... - by Nanol

Does anyone know of a utility to edit saved games in Morrowind? I'm a few hours in (it's my 2nd character, having lost the first somewhere), and specifically all I want to do is swap the crappy minor skill of Spear for something more in character like Blunt or more likely Short Blade. I can set skill levels with the console just fine but that seems a bit of a botch job.

Doubt anyone'd spend time making an editor when the console does the same thing w/ a little more typing.

Forsythe's always right :)
First off, Do you have X-Box or PC for your copy of Morrowind?

PC. Tried TESCS, AME, even Plugin Conflict Detector, changing ess to esp, it just crashes them during load. Then there's the ShowStatMenu (sp?) command I think but I've not got it to work, menus come up but don't seem to change anything. Perhaps there's a specific way of using that menu though?

Enter the console (~ key) and type in:
EnableClassMenu
This will allow you to change your class, and hopefully the skills you have chosen. It will probably reset you level to 1.

Take a note of your stats etc. then use set'stat' X eg setenchant 50 there is also mod'stat' X which will add that amount on. And to regain your level use setlevel X
But it is quite easy just to change what weapon you use in game, it will just mean you won't level up as fast and you will have a stage where you can't hit anything.

Problem sorted now, the new Morrowind Enchanted Editor does the trick, though you have to figure the UI out yourself since it's still in beta and has no documentation yet.
There's so much good stuff being released this week: The Unofficial Morrowind Patch, TES Plugin Tool, Visual Pack 2.2 and now this!
