Probably because they don't have much choice in the matter.
Of course we have a choice, it's called the childfree choice ;)
Congrats, Shayde!

Probably because they don't have much choice in the matter. It would be like saying how I manage to cope with the quite painful attacks that accompany Crohn's disease.
My mom had undiagnosed Crohns until a two foot section of her intestine died and had to be removed AND she had four kids. She kept saying not to bother, that she would be alright all the while purging the most vile bile imaginable. Jesus that was scary. Plus all her kids came out sideways carrying chainsaws.
Okay, maybe not that last part. Take your big blue pills QID like a man. Or better yet, like a woman.

Congratulations!
The whole baby thing post-conception is terrifying to me.

Six weeks turns six years before you know it, treasure
every moment.

Thanks for the wishes everyone.
Everything is going well with us though the stupid doctor won't let me have sex or go climbing or even freaking drive for 6 weeks. I get the climbing thing but driving? And sex? My vagina wasn't even involved in his birth.
Congrats on your newborn Carini.
Every day Liam seems to grow up before my eyes, he's a little more alert, awake for longer and aware of his surroundings.
Oh also he spray pooped all over me last night and I still love him, so that's good to know.

Here's a tid bit: That study a few years ago where some people got it on in the name of science in an MRI machine illustrated what many had suspected about the stress and, not so expected, inflation the uterus undergoes while on the job. So sadly doc's probably right, for the sake of the sutures.
(I forget all sorts of appointments you know, but this stuff hangs around. Although I guess live transects of the business are pretty memorable)
