Hmmm...if you should go to San Francisco, visit Pier 39. Good food, nice stores, some arcade galleries and two large wood planks filled with sea lions loafing on their fat asses like Jesus wept on a sunday :D.
Not a
bad choice but tourist hokey. Try the Saturday night Sea Chantey sing at the Maritime Pier.
1st Saturday of every month. They usually hold it on one of the clipper ships. The Balclutha is the one most frequently used.
As for food, there is an excellent seafood place in Berkeley. Spangers, just off the 880 freeway.

If you're fucking rich these days, you buy a Maserati, like Johnny Sac.

You're welcome to all that nasty Italian junk. (
http://www.astonmartin.com/thecars/v8vantage) V8 Vantage ftw!
Yes, I accept the electrics will most likely have gremlins for all eternity, but I'm cool with that.
Scots Taffer on 22/4/2006 at 11:06
Oh shit, yeah, Vantage is where it's at... I mean, I'm no car buff, I was tossing out that Maserati off the cuff.
TheNightTerror on 22/4/2006 at 21:51
Yuck. Can't stand those Chinese torture headlights. :eww: It would be a damned good looking car without them, far as I can tell, though.

Actually if you like burgers, he's spot on. In n out has some of the best hamburgers around.
Forget the subway talk, you can find them anywhere. Try some local mexican restaurants if you like mexican food, some of the best mexican food can be found in LA.
sheesh, canadiens giving advice on food places in LA based on a few days trip here. LOL. But when he's right, he's right.
Marecki on 25/4/2006 at 21:31
Well, those two weeks at the BNL have been cancelled so I'm already in Berkeley. Unfortunately I feel like shit at the moment, bloody jet lag... :( At least I hope it's only jet lag.

The V8 Vantage is a hand-crafted sports car that offers electrifying performance and outstanding agility. The most
affordable of all Aston Martins, it fuses traditional Aston Martin style and everyday usability. The result is the world's most desirable sports car.
It's not obscene indulgence if the press materials even THINK of using the word "affordable" in its description.

To hell with LA. In n Outs are all over California, and I've been to a lot of them during my eight months of living there in the past couple of years.
And if there's one thing I know, it's hamburgers.
also ps Fatburger.
