This is a great big hello to all my old friends here.
It's been a long time, I've missed you. I was recently reminded I shoudl visit more often. It's good to see the familiar names and people, and how you still incessantly debate random nonsense.
I occasionally get asked why I don't come here anymore, and this thread is to try to explain that bit. It's not that I don't love you anymore. It's just that I can't remember.
What does that mean, then? Well, those of you who remember my increasingly whiny threads from a couple of years ago; yeah, that illness thingy I was on about, it's that, but more of it. My brain has slowly turned to goo now, I can barely remember two days ago. Imagine being held by the ankles upside-down by a big fat ogre and getting violently shook, and then try to make a coherent thought; that's how well my brain works now. I'm not ignoring my old friends here, I just can't remember Tuesday, or where I am, or my shoesize, or what time it is. I put all my energy to work hard at diet and exercise, but while it's not solving the problem, it's making it a bit easier to deal with. As much as I'd like, I no logner have the brains nor energy to follow lengthy threads and make sarcastic jokes, I can't read anything longer than three lines and remember it. But at least I'm still not dumb enough to enjoy Adam Sandler movies yet. Give me another six months, and I might.
This post took 78 minutes to write and proofread. Yes, I'm that slow now.
