Some of my pervasive habits include exhaustive exploration (often for no good reason), not giving up on a game until I've completed it (if I don't, I've usually thrown in the towel very early), playing the good guy on RPGs, and attempting to sneak even when the game isn't about sneaking.
My go to names include Lambs Liver, twisty, Knuckles Thompson and Mynxy.

I seem to have opposite habits of dropping games half way through and forgetting about them, loading them up six months later having no idea how the game works or where I was.
Sometimes I'd had enough of the game, other times I'm annoyed because I wanted to get further.
I also tend to try out games for an hour or two to see what they're like and that's enough for me if it was ludicrously cheap in a sale.
Probably these habits are related to not having enough time to devote to the important activity of gaming. Damn growing up...

I'm pretty good at focusing on one (or two or three) games at once, and finishing them before moving on to the next batch. Games completed so far this year: 30! Mostly 2017 releases. I keep a Google Doc of finished games. It's not weird. I don't have weird gaming habits. YOU'RE WEIRD.

Having also grown up playing flight sims with the inverted Y-axis, I always expect anything approaching a flight simulator to behave the same way.
Having said that, I generally do not walk around with my hand on my head or try to taxi on the pavement before I ratchet up to a speed enough to take flight and leave these earthly confines behind, so must insist that for the standard perambulation simulator, at the very least, we follow the normal rules of translation and perspective and keep our axes unpretzelled.

That was a very verbose way of saying "I play games wrong" :p

Fine, but I'm not the one wearing bowties pretending they're propellers here. :D

Life's too short to give saves names other than "fesgrf" or "111". As for other habits, I always try to use whatever stealth system game has, even if supper crappy. I also tend to play the opposite sex, if I have ability to do so. Except for Dark Souls games, because reasons.

The one habit that I can trace back furthest is making backup of savegames. I mean of games that I finished, I usually, umm, save the save files somewhere for later use. In some cases it might make sense for games where you unlock stuff, so when, or if I play the game again, I can load up my final save or profile and have access too everything. But I also back up saves for story heavy games where I'd 100% start a new playthrough if I ever picked it up again. I still have savefiles for some games I played 10+ years ago. This habit got new fuel with Dark Souls though. With that game I started making backups after every session, so basically every day. I do the same for all single slot checkpoint based games. In the case of DS, it actually saved me from a save corruption issue, so, paranoia justified! :D
Btw, I also try to use stealth whenever the game allows it.

For save names, main is always 'Moose23' and if I think I might be about to checkmate myself somehow or irreversibly fuck up, I make one called 'fekker'.
