Yoko Kanno freaks me out though, stuff i've heard is like slo-mo cibo matto
While I haven't heard Cibo Matto, I'd be surprised is she was consistently like them given that she has only the thinnest consistent aesthetic - while there are a few types of music (incredibly layered "ethereal" arrangements) she uses a lot, it really depends on what she's doing the soundtrack for. A lot of her music for Cowboy Bebop, for instance, is simply straight-up jazz or blues, though in its 4+ soundtracks of music it goes everywhere from heavy metal to samba. Like, while the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series uses a lot of layered electronica, you also get some straight-up rock mixed with a number of electronic-free vocal numbers.

For some bizarre reason I'm switched over to NiN this week - their 2007 album Year Zero has me hooked in some bizarre-i-want-to-punch-my-ears way.
I admit I've never heard of any of those bands below; but as a music fan I'm always keen to learn about new stuff!
This weekend I'm in Luxembourg for a 4-day break but would definitely be interested in meeting up again for a spot of musical culture...
Just out of curiosity, on this subject - what do you chaps make of this guy?

Ahahaha, Vivian looks so beautifully poncey in that cardigan... a reject from Coldplay's Viva La Vida tour.
Also, X-Box jumpers and brushed forward hair. Ohhhhh TTLG meets.
Good to see you getting "thefonz" out though. :D

I made a rare appearance out of doors, yes.
Not to worry though, I've receded back into my flat and occasionally peek out of the curtains while sipping premium whisky like some sort of dodgy voyeur.

What? The Samual Smith finest Whisky wasn't good enough? :)

Scots; when it's made of cotton, buttons all the way up, and has a hood, it's not a cardigan. Read a bit further on in the primark catalogue, thicko
Besides, coldplay ripped that shit off of Casabian who embarassingly enough stole it off fucking My Chemical Romance, who ultimately got the idea from Sharpe. And sharpe knows a hooded sweatshirt from a Cardigan, unlike some binbags-for-overcoats types round here

Ah, see I knew it was some deep seated homoerotic thing.
Sean Bean, eh?
