Man, fuck Covent Garden Tube Station - real men use Leicester Square and WALK.
Aerothorn on 29/10/2009 at 23:00
Should I avoid this tube station? What's wrong with it?
Anyway, if we agree on ze garden - where in it shall we go?
thefonz on 29/10/2009 at 23:13
Covent Garden tube station is a view into the pits of hell. Constantly crowded, you have to use the stairs, people seem to "mill around" outside for no apparent reason.
Best and smartest thing to do is goto Leicester Square and walk the less than 10min trail to Covent Garden itself.
The Porterhouse in CG is one of my favourites but it depends what we all want to do.
A rigorous timetable of events and experiences catering for our wide variety of needs and inspiring educational and intellectual conversation is needed*
I'm off work tomorrow and will be around the city shopping for various things so I'll nip scout out a few places.
*get utterly bungalowed and moon tourists.

Porterhouse... is that the one with the brewery inside, all the pipes? Yeah it's cool.
What time are we thinking for this? Evening? I might have a band rehearsal that afternoon is all, but I can always head along after.
Aerothorn on 1/11/2009 at 13:25
Whatever time works for most people, I suppose. Which probably means evening, though of course that means things are more crowded.
Fortunately I have no class this week so I should be able to schedule my essay-writing such that I am free all of Saturday.
Oh - and how we recognizing eachother? Picture exchange? Psychonauts t-shirts?
Ostriig on 1/11/2009 at 13:54
I'd suggest meeting next to a tube exit, should be pretty straight-forward. Swapping out a couple of phone numbers on PM should cover any problems with recognizing people, especially if there's one or two people who know they'll be there at the start time.
Sometime in the afternoon, between 2 and 4, would probably be best, so we can get seats in a pub, then the rest who can't make it that early could trickle in.
thefonz on 1/11/2009 at 18:46
Cool. I'll be there from the start. So are we settled on Covent Garden?
Vivian on 1/11/2009 at 20:01
Yusss. And like i was saying, if anyone gets sick of expensive pints we could go to one of the sam smiths dotted about the place.
