A couple years ago I had to buy tampons for a class project. (Last time I take a womens' studies class, I don't care if I need 12 credit hours and everything else is full. I ended up dropping the class.) Unfortunately I had a bad nosebleed earlier that day and my shirt was covered in blood- totally ruined, too. It looked like I murdered someone, and I hadn't had a chance to change. So when I go up to the counter to ring up the tampons the poor clerk's eyes nearly popped out of his head.
