It seems to be permanently stuck to X-50% Y-50%. This makes any game that uses it unplayable.
I've scoured the web for a way to fix this and no joy. Help before I go mad.

I suppose you already tried un/reinstalling the drivers and/or the Logitech software? Something similar happened to me a while back, and that was all it took.

I've got the cordless version of that gamepad and not had any problems with it. In the control panel settings the right analogue stick is shown as the Z axis and it should be at 50% for both Axis and Rotation in the 'neutral' position.
If you calibrate it, again within the control panel, you should be able to view the raw values as you move it. What values does it show for both the neutral and extreme positions of the stick?

Tried reinstalling twice, no luck. When I run the calibration, it starts off in 0,0 but as soon as I move it, it immediately recenters to -50,-50.

Yes. Does nothing.

Hello. I know I'm late, but I had the same problem (only with both analog sticks) and found a solution and thought I would share it with everyone who has this problem and is searching the answer here.
This is directly from Logitech's site:
Re-calibrating the Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2
Normally there is no need to re-calibrate the Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2. In rare cases where the mini-joysticks may need to be re-calibrated, you can use the process below. Please note that this process only works for the Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2.
To re-calibrate, please do the following:
1. Remove one battery.
2. Hold the six (6) and eight (8) buttons simultaneously while re-inserting the battery. (NOTE: Do not touch or move the mini-joysticks at all during this time. It is very important that the mini joysticks are allowed to center themselves during this step or the calibration procedure will not be successful.)
The mini-joysticks should now be re-calibrated.Here is the link:

Hi,
First of all thanks very much for helping with this trick as it has taken away half of the problem. I have the exact same issue you had. I did exactly what was told. And what happened was that my left analog which was sitting to one corner has now centered and works fine, but even now my right side analog stick is not centered. It sits upwards. So if i play NFSMW ..... i have steering now ..... but my car is constantly accelerating if u know what i mean. How to get the right analog also back to center ??? Any ideas ??
Thanks in advance.

I registered here just to add this: The method described above also worked for a non-cordless (corded? is that a word?) Rumblepad 2. Just unplug the pad, hold the two buttons and re-plug it. Solved my troubles with the right analog-stick!
Thanks for posting this trick, I nearly went mad before finding this here :)

I used to have a Logitech Wingman rumblepad. Is that the same thing? The right stick started to do the same thing eventually: move on its own when I wasn't touching it. I never was a big fan of that controller, so I got a Dual-action controller instead. It was under $20 and it is similar to a PS2 controller. Regardless of what I may think of Sony, they PERFECTED the controller.
