Sometimes I get logged out after posting: the login fields appear again, but the "status dot" (the one showing up after my username in a post I've made) is still green, so I'm apparently both logged out and logged in at the same time. Then, to be able to post again, I have to login a second time, but when I logout, the next time I return I am still logged in.
I did a search on the subject and have tried removing all cookies, starting in incognito mode, checking the "remember me" checkbox, checked my firewall without finding anything special...
Edit: Yup, it happened again right after posting the above, so now I'm logged in twice.
Edit 2: It only happens on ttlg.
Edit 3: Scratch the "sometimes"; it seems to be happening every time I have posted.
Edit 4: I'm using Firefox and Windows 10. Also just tried in Chrome and similar things happen there, but there I also have to login in twice every time I login.

*bump*
Any ideas what's going on or what to do about it?
I googled a bit, but didn't get any closer to a solution.

Oops. So sorry, qolelis, for lack of response. I've sent Admin a message and hopefully there'll be an answer to the problem.

Thanks!
It's been like this for quite some time (like the last two years?), but I haven't been posting much lately, so the problem hasn't been pronounced enough to warrant a report earlier. I can certainly work around it, but it is a little annoying, especially now that I'm posting more (due to having some time off).
Edit:
This time around I wasn't immediately logged out, but it took a bit of clicking around before it happened (coincidentally(?) it happened when I returned to this thread). It's hard to test, because I don't want to be posting just for the sake of posting.

Al_B is looking into it but if you want to test it in the meantime, there's no reason why you shouldn't use this thread for multiple posts.

Thanks!
I'm trying to find a pattern, but any pattern I think I might be seeing is probably just a coincidence: sometimes I'm logged out immediately after posting, sometimes I stay logged in, but need to log in again whenever I want to do something that requires me to be logged in, and sometimes I'm logged out without any apparent reason. In all of these cases, afterwards I always need to log out twice (and restarting my browser in-between). I haven't found anything wrong on my end so far, which doesn't mean that there isn't, just that I haven't found it yet. There seems to be a discrepancy between what the login fields are showing and what the rest of the forum is showing.

The green dot next to your username when you're logged out means that the forum thinks that you're still potentially online. It doesn't have a way to automatically know if you're actually idle, your browser is closed, you've shut down your PC so it just works on a timeout since your last activity. For TTLG that's set to 15 minutes which is a reasonable balance between the time someone may still be active and the time before deciding someone is actually offline.
If you're seeing the green dot next to your name in the same browser you're navigating around the forums or posting from then the likelyhood is that your browser has lost track of the session it should be using - it doesn't have the right information to let the forum know you're logged in as qolelis. At the same time, the forum recognises that less than 15 minutes has passed since your last activity so it still shows you as logged in. As you have tried two different browsers my suspicion is that you have security or similar software on your PC that's disrupting the session cookies on your PC. You mention you've checked your firewall but do you have other anti-virus or internet security installed?

Can you explain what you mean by having to log out twice? If you've been logged out or your browser has lost track of your session then you shouldn't have the option to log out again - at least without logging back in first!

I do, and I temporarily disabled it just now to see what will happen when I post this time (I'll edit this post with the result). I'll check my hardware router later too. One thing that might suggest it's not (entirely?) on my side is that this happens only on ttlg - unless ttlg is using some unique method (not shared by the other forums I've tried on) that my system is not set to handle correctly. At the moment I don't know what could "disrupt the session cookies", but I'll check.

1. I login first time using the login fields in the upper right corner.
2. I post something.
3. I get logged out without requesting it myself.
4. I login again.
5. I am done and log myself out using the log out button in the upper right corner.
6. I close the browser and start it again.
7. When I visit ttlg again, I am still shown as being logged in, i.e. the logout button is shown in the upper right corner.
8. I logout a second time.
9. Next time I return to ttlg, the login fields in the upper right corner are shown (no log out button).
