I'm assuming that there hasn't been anything specific revealed about the nature of lockpicking in the remaquel yet, has it?
I remember that when I first saw the TDS lockpicking, I was initially rather unimpressed... but I admit that it grew on me rather quickly, and I soon rather enjoyed using the new method. :) So, is something similar going to return? Or will it be, as I suspect, another mini-game, different from the previous ones (the ones used in all the Thieves, that is)? (Of course, there is always the possibility of something such as... shudder... a QTE? :eww: But perish the thought!)
Ooor... :laff:

Seems to work similar to TDS, but you can go into an oblivion-style mini-game if you burn focus.

Vaguely related info: you can look through keyholes, and lock doors as well as unlock them (but I imagine you can't lock doors unless you have the key).

I wonder if it's going to be a more time-consuming minigame, closer to TDS, or something faster - such as this:

I'm expecting the fast route.

I don't like the UI in the normal mode. Those white circles are out of place.
I'm concerned about the lack of immersive design in this. Thief, even Thief 3, allows for pretty deep immersion and having these circles and the pick pocket timer thing is just wrong.

Every time I see a screenshot of the default TDS interface, I wonder what the hell they were smoking over there.
NOTHING NOTHING
At least the new guys rediscovered how to put locks where they're supposed to be on doors.

I always wondered why they did it, since you can place those locks in correct position using the editor. I'm almost sure I did that with my custom doors, the camera snaps into place as it always does.
