Why so vindictive on this subject, SE?
:laff:
Oh, man... So, was it one at a time, or was it 'fingercuff' style for SE?

And the French weren't very happy with the Swiss then, either.
They should have thought about that before giving their agents
swiss passports. Fucking idiots.

I remember when we studied the Rainbow Warrior case. My int'l law professor was from New Zealand and was merciless. He enjoyed telling us how they were caught because, after the incident, they stayed and took a fucking vacation in NZ (!?) and two yokels noticed them driving by and one said (the prof going into thick dialect on us) "Hey, those them Frenchie besterds that blew up that shiip?" and wrote their license plate number down in the dirt caked on their jeep (which the prof took a certain pride in). Then the French balked at every step on the extradition and when they were finally "exiled" to an island post, I think it was within a year that one was allowed back to France because she got pregnant and the other had "a bad tummy ache" as he put it. Really one of those stories that's hard to invent it's so hairbrained, but to listen to him tell the story was something else.

Oh whatever. I posted it, you quoted it and raged on it.
I accept that it is a trite saying. No doubt about it.
But only when someone just spouts it for no good reason, without understanding the facts. I could easily have been far more verbose but given the circumstances it fits. This guy committed a crime and for some unholy reason he has backers saying he should be let off for. What reasons? Nothing that really has any bearing on the case.
I'm not "vindictive" on this issue, I just see it as fairly clear-cut. Get him to the USA and allow the legal machinations to spew whatever verdict it will. If the case is dismissed or he is found innocent I won't blink but he should at least have to answer for what happened.

And that's without mentioning that the actual bomb squad supposedly had to scuttle their yacht in the Pacific when the Australians started looking for them, and get rescued by a nuclear submarine (!) The whole thing would have been absolutely hilarious, had someone not died.
[edit]We're quite weird in our effectiveness against espionage types. We caught (and convicted) two Mossad agents a couple of years ago trying to get fake NZ passports, based on someone randomly finding that one of the passports was for someone who was dead.

Some of your earlier posts sounded a lot more aggressive, but that sounds absolutely logical. I don't see how anyone could disagree with that.
