Thank you god :D
Usually at Christmas we spend 2-3 weeks in the wilds of Wales with in-laws who don't have internet. I suffer terrible ttlg withdrawal pangs!
Have today received a new phone and can report it works on a Nokia 3110c - tis quite slow but that's Orange for you, (seems to be speeding up though) but I'm not complaining at all or at least till I have to climb that snowy hill to get a signal!
Have just downloaded an image that clearing posted, fantastic!!

Thanks very much for all the reports and photos, it's really helpful :)
I've added a new feature to allow you to select your timezone and date/time formats.
You can select dd/m/yyyy and mm/dd/yyyy in both 12 and 24 hour formats.
You can get to this by selecting the 'Configure' link in the footer.
Coming soon (hopefully today, maybe tomorrow) will be the ability to select which forums you want to view.
:)

:D Awesome.
Rightyo, I have just finished the 'Choose Your Own Forum' section of the 'Configuration'
Hit the 'Configuration' link in the footer. Uncheck the forums you don't want to see and hit 'Set Forum Prefs' at the bottom.
All the preferences are cookie-based. This should work correctly for about 95% of mobile phones that are less than 3 years old.
The one thing about developing your own forum reading solution is that it ends up with more features than the proper version :p
[Edit]There is a slight bug with the paging where it can show that there is one more page of posts / threads than there actually is. I shall fix that shortly[/Edit]
[Edit II] I fixed it :) [/Edit II]

Just tried to set those and I get a message when I 'set prefs'
"Data you are sending will be redirected to another server. Correct?"
No idea whether that's right or wrong - my options are OK or Exit, but when I press OK, the message keeps coming back.
Would this be a phone thing, an Orange thing or a forum thing?
David on 13/11/2007 at 08:43
It shouldn't be a forum thing, because all the pages does it sent the data to itself.
I would imagine that it is a phone setting, similar to Internet Explorer initially warns you about sending data to a third party server before you check the 'Don't warn me again' box.
If this continues I will put up another page with the just the 'popular' forums again, however I shall look for another solution.

Thanks David - I'll experiment.

nickie, are you sure that it isn't actually submitting. See, the script sends the data to itself, so the display may not actually look like it has changed. Go to the Configure section, uncheck a couple of forums (near the top is easy to see), hit the button, press 'OK' when you're phone asks you and then navigate back to the home page (you can click the LGS logo). Are the forums no longer visible? If so then it has worked!
