This probably isn't worth a thread really but I'm a loose cannon. I'm mental, I'm a wildman. You can't stop me! Nothin
Anyway, check this out. It's an electronic composition by some guy called Paul Lansky, in the early 1970's when Chowning had just discovered FM and everyone was going crazy with punchcards or whatever the fuck tedious shit those crazy idiots were using back then. He wrote this on one of Max Matthews' MUSIC composition languages that were very vogue at the time.
Anyway, so I'm checking out loads of fucking old school compositions like this and at 0:44 into this one, I shit my pants. Can you guess who nicked this as a sample, and for what song? Listening to the whole peice, it seems it's had an effect on other parts of the album too, especially the recurring theme of ascending fifths. Think about the start of the hidden track, for instance.

Not sure about albums and hidden tracks, but 0:44 sounds like Star Trek to me.

Well, my musical ignorance is exposed once again.

The same person who pissed in your cornflakes every morning for the past dozen years, perhaps.

That's confusing. Was this because of a lack for a funny answer?
Please don't flame me ZB. I'm out in commchat for not very long and people here all seem so strange... I'm glad to see a familiar face. :erm:
What I learned about comchat so far:
1. Try to be wittier then the guy before you. Your reputation depends on it.
2. If you can't be witty, be confusing. That counts as a draw on the commchat-credibilometer. Everything else is a minus.
3. Commchat is an extension of SomethingAwful. Not the other way around.
4. Whatever you do, don't show that you are pissed.
5. Most people want everyone to leave commchat.
6. The 't'-key is the most important key on your keyboard.
7. People will cheerfully conform to any fad as long as it's offbeat enough.
8. Fads are called 'memes'.
9. Only if you gained enough commchat-credibility you can break some of these laws.
10. Credibility for Admins is free.
