Literally stuck... - by Nickolas

The problem with SS2 is that once you decide to cheat, there's no way of disabling it. And it saddens us 'oldies' to know that someone is ruining his first SS2 experience by cheating, because any of us would love to have a chance of experiencing that again.

It saddens me too, because I had to start all over again without being able to finish the game the first time. I'm not going to cheat, but what do I have to do when there is no way for me to continue? STOP? :erm:

... I felt like I had no other choice.
That was then, as in past tense. Just don't be so quick to give up. The futility you have felt will pale in comparison to the rewards the game will deliver if you see it all the way through.
Just saw your most recent reply. If you can't make it through the game without quitting and walking away then consider a lower level of cheating. Give yourself some extra cyber modulus and improve your stats. Don't go over board. Just get enough to squeak by. Then play it again with NO CHEATS

I don't get the funeral home analogy... "Well-to-do" I guess is because we're elitist, but that's just because we are elite am i rite :p
My advice on getting stuck? Go for a walk. Don't get frustrated. Feed your cat, read your mails. Get back to it a few hours later and see if you can figure it out.

Thanks for all your advice. I think I need to finish this game. (To be honest... I didn't know this game until two days ago :p. I think this game looks a bit like Fallout 3, but this one is better. A lot of people don't even want to try this game, because it's not "new" -.-)

Yep, the Cargo Bays are hard and it seems like the enemies are never ending.
Just use a lot of stealth, hide and let enemies go past if you aren't in the mood for a wrench fight. System Shock is different to most other FPS type games where running and shooting is the standard. This is what makes SS so good, but also makes it frustrating for people who aren't used to that.
Enjoy the game, it's still one of the best ever made.
Cheers,
M.
