Is there a way to listen to schemas from the schema browser without extracting them from the metafiles?
I have Sound Drone installed, but I don't want to look up every schema in the browser first and then again in Sound Drone, only to listen to it. Is there an easier way?
P.S.: What is the difference between streaming and non-streaming schemas (I've never used schemas in a map at all)

Hmm, I thought I listened to the schemas in the editor. Let me take a look.

Streaming schemas get activated every time you go into the associated zone. Non-streaming schemas play the first time you enter a zone but not thereafter.
Note that this has nothing to do with looping. You can have a looping non-streaming schema, which will continue to play until you exit the zone, but will not start again if you re-enter.
I think this is the major distinction; there may be other internal differences that I am not aware of.

I can only listen to those I have extracted from the metafiles and placed in the sounds folder as WAV/OGG. They are also the only ones for which the browser shows the names of the WAV files.
@OrbWeaver: Thanks for the info :)

I am asking a big favour, I realize.....
If anyone has the time (ha!ha!), it would be awesome if they could extract all the new Garrett speech from the game and save them as WAV files, for use in T2 FM's. I don't have anything on my computer to open these suckers with, and I'm positive that I'm only one person of a great crowd that would love you forever for your efforts. :)
