Hi all... I have two questions that I haven't been able to get an answer to from Arx Fatalis sites..
1. How linear is Arx Fatalis?
When I played the demo, you were forced to move along a certain path, like any FPS.. Sure, there might be more than one way to solve a puzzle, but is the whole game going to be like this? I'm not an experienced RPG player, the only RPG's I played are the Exile series. ((
www.spidweb.com)) Exile is very open ended and I was hoping Arx Fatalis would be at least a bit open ended...
2. How much focus is there on combat in Arx Fatalis?
One thing I like from the demo is that there wasn't too much combat. For example, I expected to see some enemies in the ruined 'castle', and they would have been there in any FPS.. But here it was pretty much deserted. Can I expect this from the rest of the game, or will there be a lot of areas where you fight some enemy in every other room..
At the end of the demo you go into the goblin's realm. Does this mean that you'll be pretty much fighting your way through? (even though you have 'papers')
Will there be more non-enemy NPC's (civilians?) or will there be more enemies?
Also, does anyone know whether the crappy physics will be fixed before release? (or maybe even after release?)

The full game is meant to be very non-linear. The whole beginning section is designed more as a tutorial section so that people can learn how to play it, so in that way I guess, it has purposely been designed in a more linear fashion.

Again, going from what I've been reading about the game over the last 6 months or so, you will also have great freedom in how you approach surviving the Arx underworld.

B.t.w. You really should play the Ultima Underworld games while your waiting for Arx Fatalis to be released.

Are you familiar with the Exile series? In what way does Ultima Underworld compare to them? What are the major differences?
