I just noticed that lights spots are visible through walls if you turn the fog distance higher.
I'm not sure but I think that I didn't have this with my old graphics card (Geforce 7950, just upgraded to Geforce 8800 GTS).
Here's a screenshot of how the bug looks like:

Does anyone also has this problem?

There seem to be quite a few graphical issues that pop up with the 8800, eddy. As the game pre-dates the release of this direct-x 10 capable card, the game was never tested to work with it.

I suspect that bodes badly for my new GF8600 :/

Yeah it's always sad when you're new hardware breaks you're old beloved games :-/

I can confirm this problem with the 8600. Sigh. My old PC wasn't quite up to running Arx smoothly, and I actually put off replaying it (after a game-ending bug seemed to require a restart) until I had a PC that could do it justice. Now it seems that I've actually managed to leap-frog over the range of machines that the game is happy with!
I'll just have to hope that nVidia deal to this with a driver update -- always assuming it is actually their fault, and this isn't another 'white texture' sort of issue :/

Looks like coronas showing through, I will try later with nvidia 163.71 and a GF6200 and see how it goes.

I've got this problem as well, playing on a 8600M GT. The game otherwise runs quite well (using 1.17 patch and texture fix; 1.18 seemed to degrade FPS pretty badly). This is a fairly old thread, but as far as I can tell no solution has been found yet.
Is there any way to flat-out turn coronas off completely? It seems to me like that would be the simplest and most straight-forward fix: if they can't figure out to make them display properly, just get rid of them.
