hi
im about to start my first character, a dark elf/warrior, and cant decide if i want to go for light or heavy armor. dark elfs have a +5bonus to light but that isnt realy that much, or is it?
how much better protection does heavy armor offer?
what looks best on your character, that daedric armor or glass armor?
/cheers jackie

I wouldn't recommend heavy armour; for one, it's, well, heavy, and it's a lot to lug around if your character is low level. Secondly, you don't come across much heavy armour that's any good early in the game, daedric stuff is rather scarce.
I started with medium armour (bonemold is common and effective), but soon switched to light (keeping a couple of med. bracers on to keep increasing the med. skill). My med. armour skill was quite high, and my light- very low, and yet glass armour (light) was WAY better than any med. stuff on me. And then later in the game you find ultra-powerful items such as cuirass of the saviour's hide, and boots of the apostle, and guess what? they're both light.
So, light armour gets my vote, although the chitin and other common types of it are pretty useless. As soon as you get glass, though, you're away.

Of course, once you're higher level, heavy armour is very nice. It really comes down to looking at your character's personality and asking, what would they wear?

I am using glass armor now and I enchanted the items with the following CE enchants: the boots with 'bound boots'
the helm with 'bound helm'
the cuirass with 'bound cuirass'
the gloves with 'bound gloves'
The other bound spells are for weapons only (shoot me if I am wrong).
The bound items look like Deadric armor but the are not THAT heavy and you will look very
