Of
course the world would be better off without us.
Unfortunately
we wouldn't fare too well without
us.
You pussies.
I look forward to my superior cyborg body with which I can crush foreign governments in the name (and financial backing) of capitalism. Exxon has the high bid but Victorias Secret is a sentimental favorite so hide your granny panties.
Naturally this is just dicking about until we can span severered neural connections. Rather nasty dicking but if we learn to put Einstiens head on Swartzenagers body we may have something. "First I will crush you dead, girly man, and then I will warp time and crush you again."
On second thought this is awful.

I want to say something here, but I don't know exactly what.

I'm just glad it's not more Iraqi beheadings or a discussion on the conscious time for those who've been beheaded.... but it's not much better!

I have to say, it is threads like this that lead me to believe that the world would be a better place without human beings.

Errr, no, this is just dicking about, period. If I'm reading ya right, we'd have to master spanning severed neural connections to connect your head/brain to the new body. Mastery of nervous connections would make most brain transplants unnecessary.
So, how about that Robert White guy? :o Dear God, he really believes that head transplants are an important thing to master.

Imagine some rich old guy who would give all he has to live another life in a young body. It aint a pretty thought. I was goofing but the scary thing is some might not be. That is worse than a two headed dog fighting itself over a bowl of Kibbles.

I'm amazed that some of you, as liberal as you are, are shocked and appaled by this.
There are quite a few moral issues to contend with, yeah, and in the grand scheme of things isn't that important considering there are more feisable ways to approach the subjects brought up by dude up there. But it is an interesting field of study nonetheless, and could make for some really wild discoveries.

I don't know what it is. Laid back as I am on most things, I can't rest easy with the thought of a dog's head being disembodied and kept alive, and for what reason?

Yeah, that's really sad looking.
I could see the research behind it being useful for quadrapeligics a la Christopher Reeve, reattaching/healing severed spinal columns in the same way they're already pretty good at reattaching severed arms or prosthetic arms that can regester neural signals. But I'm sure there's a better way to do that kind of research without doing this kind of stuff!

...maybe I should watch the videos.
