Been a long time since I played this thru. An objective at which I failed was in rescuing a (young female?) hostage at something like an abandoned petrol/filling station. Short sequence, very linear - get dropped off, f'up, loot the joint, run to black helicopter, cut to next scene/level.
What diff, if any, does success at a safe rescue of this hostage make in the story line?

You miss out on an augmentation upgrade if you get her killed.

It's simply more fun to accomplish than to fail. Which plot twist did DX add to your life? None. So why d'you play it in the first place? ;)

This is one I had trouble with too as any death of bad guys seems to cause the alarm to sound. Yet to drop down atop the room from the roof above where the girl is kept also alerts guards. If you do make it to the room and manage to kill the guard before alerting others you still have to get out with everyone walking around outside. I gave up. How did you do it?

Until this (

US President George W. Bush declared a state of emergency in the effected areas, releasing federal funds for the disaster and placing the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in charge.
"FEMA has been asked to lead the federal effort to search, find, and secure debris from Columbia so that NASA can move forward with a full investigation," said FEMA Deputy Director Michael Brown, who will coordinate federal, state and local resources.

Well that was just silly it was so easy. I had 6 LAMs, why didn't I do that before? Much simpler than not saving her like the first time. Thanks.

Use silenced weapon(s) to eliminate all patrolling guards outside. When jumping in from rooftop, keep yourself CROUCHED. If you stand up the MIB will see you. IMO the best way is jumping in with a gas granade, rendering MIB's plasma rifle useless. The girl
(Tiffany Savage) would be fine after gas dissipates.
