I am at the wizards mushroom tower but dont have enough levitating spells/drinks to get more than a few feet off of the ground........ where can I buy more drinks/spells to get to the top?

I believe that you can get the levitate spell from a mage located at the bottom of the Mage's Guild in Balmora. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Just one. The "power rating" on a levitate spell is how fast you move, not how high you can go. If you find you can't gte higher than a certain point and the spell's still active, you're undoubtedly stuck on a wall. Try re-maneuvering and trying again.
Edit: Ack... "power ating".. sheesh, odd typo...

ok, thanks for the help... I tried to levitate but am going to have to practice lots cause it isn't working and it tells me that the spell failed, and for the liquid I drink to levitate... I still get no higher than a few feet off of the ground... and I am standing right in the middle of the passage.... Sigh......:erg:

Yeah, those Telvanni passages can be tricky, what with all those odd little bumps all over the place. One thing that might work (I haven't tried it) is staring straight down, using the potion, and pressing 'back'... other than that, you may want to try dropping all your eq (you jump higher if unencumbered) and then using a jump potion/scroll instead.

i am not quite sure about the location you're talkin about since
i haven't been there yet...
but maybe you could use the "dwemer boots of flying"...
i found them underneath the deadric ruins on the other side of
the hill from wolverine hall..

You have to give those boots to the wizard at the top of the mushroom tower on tel fyr. At least I did to get the potion to get rid of the disease
