Hello, everyone. ;)
I play a Breton mage and I've come across a nasty situation. I joined the Tribunal and I started off on the Pilgrimmage quest. When I got the the "Moon" shrine (the one under the floating rock in Vivec), I bought my Rising Force potion and prayed at the shrine.
I received some kind of Levitate-type effect (and spell-icon) but I didn't actually levitate. Instead, my character model locked up in the jumping-position. My character floated along the ground in this "permanent jump". I had no Levitate-like powers. Oddly, when I cast the Levitate spell, the effect stopped and I could Levitate as normal. Once the spell wore off, I was back to the weird perma-jump. This bug was also accompanied by a very fast footstep noise, so fast that it sounded like an outboard engine. ;)
Anyway, the "blessing" has worn off, but now I can't Levitate? I can't use a potion or the spell because it kicks me into this weird perma-jump-with-outboard-motor-noises! Has anyone else had this trouble? I've got a ton of time invested and it would be a shame to have to start over. I honestly don't know if I would... :(
Any help would be appreciated.

yea im pretty sure this may be a clipping issue, some bug at the least. I was doing allota jumping on my way through the swamps to get my acrobatic skills up, and the same exact thing happened, for me it bugged on a hill, so i sorta jump/jumped/levitated down the hill, it was odd, it happens sometimes.

So what should I do? I rested for 24 hours so that the "blessing" would vanish and the effect is still with me. :(
I suppose I could Mark at the shrine and Recall to it whenever I need to levitate, but that's just crappy.
Should I email Bethesda?
This game rocks my jock, but I don't know if I could start over with another mage. SO many quests to redo...

Yeah, I encountered this as well at that shrine; I'm seriously boggled that that one got thru QC, but oh well. I'd just saved a moment before, so I restored... I'd suggest you do the same, even if it costs you some playtime.
If/when they release a patch, I strongly suspect they'll address the shrine but that they'll assume players would reload after such an obviously buggy response. Continuing to play as-is, you stand a good chance of just losing more playtime if the patch is as I'm guessing.

Some people say that typing in 'fixme' I believe in the console resets your position. Maybe this will help?
Other than that, I don't see a solution other than reloading a past game :(

I actually figured out a way around it. It's a bit unorthodox but...
Whenever I want to Levitate, I just pop into the console for a moment and type "tcl". It turns the clipping off for the game. I can move in 3d, which includes flying BTW. I just "levitate" to where I would have gone if I cast the spell and then turn clipping back on by typing "tcl" again.
I'll be buggered if I'm gonna do all those sidequests again... :)
