By reaching finaly the second level (HURRAY!), i just wonder how you guys level. (If different between starting and lets say level 10 or so, then please mention. Cause cash is hard to come by in the beginning - at least for me)

yeah, i'm always broke. If i have money, it's immediately spent on hard needed potions and training
i'm a level 9 mage in heavy armor :cheeky: (Dark Elf)

Well, for my first one i just used them. You know that just by looking. Whenever u see a mage jumping like a mad man, jumping into every little splash of water to take a swim and casting the evil monsters away, you can be sure that its been me.
Mhh, that way it is frustrating. Cause its not playing "correctly" - at least not in my sense. But when i just walk around it seems i killed that big, baddy DagothUr just bevor i reached another level. (Damn that i cant sell my 40.000 SoulGem.

I just go around the map into various places totally randomly and see what I find there, while travelling I get the fighting skills I need up and in towns I get to practise thieving. Simple as that. Already walked around the island once, and plan to do it again so I can swim to those island I missed or poke around the caves I ignored last time.
So far I've done only 4 missions for Thieves Guild, and 2 for Blades. Currently at level 24 I think :)

I don't ever seek out trainers, but if I'm talking to someone and it's an option, I check it out and see what they do. I can't remember ever training a major skill, I just practiced those (long blade, sneak, security, light armor, athletics) by playing the way I do. Minors, I've never trained short blade, marksman, or acrobatics (again because they go up enough just by playing), but I have trained whatever the two magic skills are that I have there, mysticism and illusion, I think, though one may be restoration. Don't remember. :erm:
Anyhow, if I encounter a trainer who trains in something I'm not good at, I'll train up one. Otherwise, it's not worth it IMHO.
One exception: I did stand there and let Ajira (once she liked me 100%) train up my alchemy (which was the highest of mine at the time of the three she does) so that I could advance in the mages guild ('The Mages Guild appreciates the duties you've done, but you just don't meet our requirements for.........'---up yours, Ranis!)

Magic is my main attrib, so they are more or less high. But sadly some of them have to be mior and thus be around 20. With my LUCK=10 its close to impossible to get that simple "levitate" to work. Boy i wish i woudnt have done that to my luck. :tsktsk:
By now i already did all in SedaNeen and with Ajira my work has finished. That was the moment i finaly went up.
Just wonder if you all took so "long" as well?
Btw, CliffRacers are cute. (And harmless, even with my wimpy spells)

You might consider using the console to boost it and drop another trait, though. That, or use the Bitter Cup instead of giving it to
Eydis Fire-Eye.

That´s one of the ThiefGuildQuest if my memory is right?!
Well, it was my decision to make a hopeless fool and i stand to it. baeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhh, sniiiffff. *gg*
BTW: Dont want to open a new thread, so i ask it here:
EnchantmentPoints for in the Editor are e.g. "600", but ingame only 60 (due to the fact, that the multiplier in the settings is 0.1). Is that correct, or did Bethesda just mistyped that one and it should be 1.0 ??? (think of what you can do than *g*)
Forsythe on 2/10/2002 at 08:24
Your memory's correct, and the multiplier sounds like something good developers put in to cover their butts in case requirements change (in this case, to tweak game balance on a global scale if it needs it). I'd leave it alone if you're trying not to cheat ;)

Remember that it lowers the lowest attribute while raising the highest. Besides 10 Luck vs 40 Luck is only 3.75 more chance to cast a spell.
