Can someone please clarify the maximum levels gained in Arx F, and how hard it becomes to go up a level later in the game. Apparently the maximum level is 10, yet i am already on level 5 early on in the game, and going up levels very quickly. Does it suddenly become very difficult to go up a level later in the game?, as although the maximum level is 10 it is said to be very difficult to even get close to this level!!

The manual gives you the low-down on the experience needed for each level to the maximum 10th. At the beginning you will gain levels quickly but it does start to slow down. It's best to work out what sort of character you're going to play from the beginning. There's little point putting points in stealth if you're going to boost you strength to wear plate mail as there are stealth penalties for wearing heavy armour.
Intuition is a fairly useless skill IMO, as secret passages are easy to spot on the map and there's plenty of gold to buy what you need. Ethereal link is a bit naff too unless you're playing a hard-core mage.
If you're a mage, go for Intelligence, Magic, Ethereal link, object knowledge and defence
A fighter should go for Strength, Constitution, Close Combat, Defence and Object knowledge
A thief should go for Dexterity, Intelligence, Stealth, close combat/projectiles, technical and object knowledge.

Thanks driver, i'm finding some battles very tough now, 5 minutes of not stop hitting eventually kills spiders in level 4, I think it's a bit too hard for the level i'm at, but i'm just wandering around. On level 4 so far I have found exits to levels 6, and 8, but don't want to go to far, as the battles at the moment are hard, and I can barely cope.
The game's still a bit of a maze to me, I thought i was close to completing something big when I destroyed a creature blocking a pathway, it took me 15/20 shots to kill it, and then it had nothing, and only blocked the way to level 8, which is to advanced for me at this stage. i'm going to make my way back towards the start of level 4, to find an area a little less challenging.
