I'm surprised the number of people who got bored at Hong Kong. The only thing I don't like about that whole section would be the damn awful music that plays in the market area, which makes me reluctant to hang around...
I personally loved the canal (and Tonnochi road) area. It may be my favourite part of the game. I loved the desolate feel (the music track is called Desolation!) and the realism afforded by the open-ended nature.
I'm not sure which bits I dislike. Maybe... the return to NYC to meet up with Dowd. The psychic abilities of many of the NPCs on that map made it very unrealistic and hard to stealth through.

Hmm, apart from the first mission, I don't think I find Deus Ex boring. I keep a savegame on the Liberty Island mission just before capturing the leader partly because I don't want to spend time replaying that mission by wacking 3/4 the terrorists in the back with a baton (and save on tranq darts/riot prod charge).
Otherwise, the closest complaint I have is the running around in Everret's place; I always turn on the speed aug for most of that map since there's a 'bot there to recharge bio-energy.

lol I love how different players all have their individual likes and dislikes about the game. I personally love the HK market music - one of the best tracks in the whole game IMO. In fact I find all of the HK levels interesting and well-designed. Same goes for Liberty Island.
I'm not a big fan of the Ocean Lab levels though. They just seemed to lack something for me: not really anything I could put my finger on, but I just wasn't drawn in by them as much as other levels.

Talk to mechanic, see corpse... Back to everett... Tell him about the mechanic... Kill the mechanic... To tell everett of the deed...
Heh, we're opposites. You say you didn't realise at first that you could just kill the mechanic and go, but that's all I ever did. It never occurred to me to go back and tell Everett about it. So thanks, I'll have to try it! :thumb:
