It was true that some fans offered up their own logos. Yes.
And... your point is what exactly? That EM should have changed their placeholder for a fan's placeholder?

The point is, that it was a simple task for EM to replace the much unwelcomed THI4F logo with something more appropriate...such a fervent and miniscule request from the community, only to be met with cold, callous disregard...What a shame that they care so little...:nono:
...Then again, at least for a time, they couldn't take it down...because that was the brand identity they were promoting, with THI4F branded merchandise, to boot.

Well, it could also be that for EM any kind of publicity is better than no publicity at all, right? It kept a lot of us talking about it for months, and on any given page you'd see 'EM ...... this or that'. There was much cursing, wailing, and a general gnashing of teeth, and I think a couple of effigy sacrifices were involved as well, iirc. ;)
Publicity.
Oh, and getting and holding our attention as well, probably.

More appropriate? What does this mean exactly? Something other than their own? Something you like?
It may or may not have been a simple task, but the fact that they didn't change the temp placeholder is a really dumb reason to become as bitter and angry as you have.
We're talking about a working title... something we all knew was temporary. I don't get why you need to be so upset and frustrated about them not changing it to something else. I would understand if it was actually
THE title for the game. But there was never any worry of that being the case.

If you slap someone in the face, you may get their attention, but don't expect them to be friendly towards you after that.
Sure, it was only a temporary slap and it's not a reason to hold a grudge, but it did start us off on the wrong foot and that could have been easily avoided.
