AJAX or flash-based picture galleries that bring any modern processor to its knees. I don't want to see a supposedly clever animation zooming on my picture(
http://www.cinematicmod.com/cm_10.php) you fucker, and I don't want to have to click everywhere to close it. Just open the picture already.

2. those ads that pop up in user discussions whenever somebody says the words "computer" or "windows", among others
3. those ads that pop up in your face, but actually scroll up and down the page with you, so you can't just scroll down and read the information you're looking for
4. any ads that make unauthorized use of my speakers
6. getting a full-screen ad during a page transition, and having to find the "continue" button
I got good news for you. You can live without ads.
Step a) download and install Firefox. (
http://www.getfirefox.net/)
Step b) download and install an addon caled "Ad Block Plus" (
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865)
There you go. Ad Block Plus keep a list of websites where ads come from. Usually the ads are not on the same webserver as the website they are shown on. The list is updated over the Internet once in a while. I've been using ABP for years now. Works like a charm. I never see any ads. I never had any problems with it.
You could also try to use NoScript.(
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722) This addon will make it so that JavaScript elements in webpages are not executed automatically. Many ads are JavaScript based, or Flash based, so NoScript will prevent them. Also, NoScript seriously reduces changes that malicious JavaScript code intrudes your computer and plants a Trojan.
9) My biggest gripe is when websites by public organizations use proprietary protocols/technology. Fuck SilverLight. Fuck QuickTime. Fuck RealPlayer.
10) When I click on my NoScript to allow a page to execute some JavaScript, and the first thing it does is resize my Firefox window. I hate that too.

Any ad that is not either a non-animated flat graphics or an HTML plain text is summoned by Satan and drags the world further into Darkness and Chaos.

Pop-up ads that either take you to their site or open another window (usually full screen) even though you've clicked on the 'close' option.
