I just wanted to create this list to see if everyone else feels the same way. Am I missing anything? If so, feel free to add it!
1. having to click "download now" more than once to start a download (you know how it takes you to yet another page first?)
2. those ads that pop up in user discussions whenever somebody says the words "computer" or "windows", among others
3. those ads that pop up in your face, but actually scroll up and down the page with you, so you can't just scroll down and read the information you're looking for
4. any ads that make unauthorized use of my speakers
5. web pages that simply re-direct you back to themselves when you click the "back" button in your browser... I haven't seen this happen since the IE6 days though.
6. getting a full-screen ad during a page transition, and having to find the "continue" button
7. while trying to download drivers, having to search a large page for the small word "download" because it isn't a graphic, but just hyperlink text in some paragraph
There, I think I've covered them all. As you can probably tell, I'm not the most patient person on earth. Are there any annoyances that I've missed?

Sorry, I couldn't resist :)
You've got alot of the obvious ones, but I'll go for a more archaic one: Google. It has a stranglehold on searches, its software is entangled in some sites to the point where if Google goes down, the site goes down, and they track each individual's search history indefinitely.
Use Startpage instead.

I hate it when you accidentally click a link and then when you hit 'stop' the page goes blank in mid-load, even if you think you cancelled it in time. So then you have to click 'back' like a jackass. Someone should write a firefox plugin to fix this.

Freakin' Experts-Exchange. Almost every time I go to Google looking for an answer to a tech question, I'm able to find my exact problem, but it was posted on experts-exchange.com which hides the solution from you unless you pay for it.

Rollover popup ads - Fuck you, I don't want to know about your goddamn product, I just want to get my mouse cursor across the screen.
"Home" pages that consist of only a big splash graphic that serves no purpose, usually animated, and you have to click some variation of "continue" to get to the real home page.
Unnecessary Javascript/ActiveX - Thank you for locking up and BSODing my computer when you could have just used HTML for the exact same tasks.
Graphics overload - I don't want to wait 5 minutes for your shitty page to load.

Yes, there should be a plugin that READS YOUR MIND so that Aja doesn't feel like more of a jackass than usual when clicking the Back button!

snip snap the problem is that the page I want is still there, and it doesn't go blank *until* I click stop. The STOP button should STOP everything when it's clicked, not further the loading process to an unusable point and freeze it there.

I absolutely hate that site! almost every LINUX question I google takes me to that site and it just drives me nuts.
Have you tried scrolling to the bottom of the page? Most of the time the answers are there and shown unhidden.
