Anyone else badly waiting for the next beta of SHTUP?

Personally I think ZB knows damn well what his mod is worth and he probably doesn't need a support thread but just some time to get the stuff together.
But then some cheering on has never hurt. Shockers, get the pompons out.

Of course he doesn't NEED one. I didn't mean to be presumptuous.
I simply thought we all just might show the appreciation a project like that deserves.
For me, waiting to play System Shock 2 again with the next release of SHTUP is right up there with waiting for Bioshock...

Why has there been such a long time inbetween versions? Is the next beta going to pretty much update every last texture?

No. Basically work dropped WAY off for a period of many many many months as waves of Real Life stuff came up. So when the next version is released, it will NOT represent a year and a half of sustained development effort. Or two years, or however long it's been.
Beta 6 will primarily be notable for Icenine's great updated pipe models, Eldron's redrawn Xerxes, Blackboe's plant models, and quite a bit of signage that I've converted to use TGA textures (mostly the stuff with round edges). The screenshot thread on the dev forum pretty much covers the high points.
Eshaktaar has chipped in again to fix up some models, but he has his own projects and I've got a long list of models that could use some work. Anyone out there know a bored modeler, send them SHTUP's way!

Can't wait to see redrawn Xerxes, and of course all the other updates too. :)
