Steam isn't exactly the first place I'd think to buy software, but I've just picked up Substance Painter and Substance Designer there, since they were two thirds of the price of buying directly from Allegorithmic.

Steam Controller FTW! Make sure you set the haptic feedback on the pad as high as it'll go, and turn the mouse sensitivity down until you get used to it.
