Is yours pre CBS? Those made in the late 50s and 60s were infused with the souls of angels and demons in eternal conflict or something. I was amazed that you did not need a pick or even a right hand.
Heres to Les indeed. Blues and Rock owes much of it's soul to him. I shall refrain from playing Smoke on the Water or the parts of Crazy Train I know in his honor. I'm like the cowboy in that ad unfortunately.
