I know there's a couple other random Utahns around here... anyone else see the huge flash of light in the sky last night? News said it was probably a 'straggler' from the Leonids.

I slept through that one, but saw it on the news. I thought about staying up to see the Leonids, and now I sure wish I had.

They think this may have been a meteor. :confused: You think? Wow! No mention of annual meteor showers in the article at all.

happened a few months ago practically in my back yard. well if we're talking globally anyway.
Hey Aja did you see this when it happened?
Also. went to the local astronomy society tonight as a requirement in my physics class at the University. For the first time in my life I saw Jupiter with my own naked eyes clearly enough to see it's color and 3 of its moons. What a sight.
