Just wanted to say that the guy you correct (http://www.quartertothree.com/game-talk/showpost.php?p=2035027&postcount=99) here on the Wing 0 influences is most likely the creator of Wing 0, Sean Barrett. Note his nick and Barrett's (http://www.nothings.org/) website address.

EDIT: I checked out a few of the indie games he did the last years. It looks like he's a bit stuck in that era. The best one of them is Chromatron and that plays like a SS1 puzzle.

Ahh! Star Raiders. I played that plenty of times on the Atari 800. I had forgotten all about it!

I bought my Atari 2600 recently just so I could play games like that....too bad I can't figure out the weird computer control pad that came with it....sure seems state-o-thee-art though.

Ummm... the one true Star Raiders is the original 8-bit Atari computer version. The 2600 port is complete ass by (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8X22nv1UOgw) comparison.
