We use a couple of cards, but we keep their purpouses separate. I have one card that is for gas and on rare occasions groceries; I have another that's for groceries exclusively (just got it recently) and I have my bank card, which I used to use for groceries until I got the groceries card, and stuff off the internet/video games, etc. essentially anything I'd pay for with my bank account.

I just pay my credit card off every pay cheque; I can't remember the last time I actually had to pay interest on anything.

Heh - the best scam isn't a scam at all. I had a card that was just bought out by another company. The interest rate jumped from 6% to 19% overnight. Same thing with another one - jumped from 8% to 16% overnight. Bastards.
QFT. If there is one industry i support regulating the shit out of, its credit card companies. Too bad it'll never happen though, as there's just too much campaign cash( and lucrative executive positions) available for supporting them.

And, out of curiosity, how do you buy goods over the Internet?
Also, you shouldn't have to any pay interest if you pay the bill on time.
I wasn't asked, but i can answer.
I use a debit card(charged as credit) to buy goods over the internet.

If only you could actually get those things in this country...

If I ever get a credit card, it'll be for gas and maybe groceries. Everything else I'll use my debit card for.
Honestly, the best way to manage your money with or without credit cards is through a budget. My parents have been using credit cards for years for gas and groceries (and for large purchases, like my college tuition), and they've never had any debt problems because they are champions at living within their means. Credit cards are wonderful tools...if you use them properly.

Your debit cards are really just credit cards with a cash line.

I'm not sure you understand what a debit card is...

Cash line taken from YOUR bank account, whatever you have on hand, its not a credit card.
