Yup, the only important thing is that it's "whisky" when the product is Scotch and "whiskey" when it's anything else. :p
Precisely, I had to argue someone down who was claiming that Irish whiskey was whisky, but Jamesons and Bushmills' websites agreed with me. ;)

The canucks and japs misspell it "whisky" as well. Unfortunately, unlike the scottish, their whisky is crap, so they can't be forgiven for it.

What the fuck is w******? I realize you can't curse in the thread title, so lay it out for us, because I bet most of us yanks don't know what w****** is. Wookies? Yeah, that's it. George Lucas won't let us use the word, so we censor it.
RBJ - Whisky from Scotland is okay. (
http://www.islaywhiskysociety.com/) Islay Whisky is not for the faint of heart. (I just noticed one of the ads on the link I provided says the same thing.) I'd much rather have a Canadian whisky myself, compared to most of the Scotch whiskys I've had. Crown Royal is my favorite. I like the Crown Royal Special Reserve.

Lucas...let us rejoice by denutting him
(runs to kitchen to grab fiilleting knife, shears, large chef's knife, 3.5 inch parer, extra staple gun, and piano wire to give Scots his choice of tools and methods)

Apart from it appearing as though all your examples were post Lucas' prequels, I would argue that the concept of prequels being commerically viable was not especially considered in Hollywood until after his announcement in 1997. I certainly find it no small coincidence that there have been a surge of them since.
Well, yeah. I said those mentioned benefitted from the craze, so it wasn't a completely horrible situation.

I didn't actually read that, I just saw the list and rebutted that 'cos that's how I roll. :D

Speaking of moving pictures, has anybody here seen Idiocracy? I'd been looking forward to it, and then it came out unexpectedly. I'm too busy to see movies these days and apparently it didn't open in many theaters, but if its as funny as Office Space I'm definitely getting the DVD when it comes out.
