Just finished yesterday.
One weird thing: the crazies in Panchaea just ran up to me and then started shouting. None of them actually attacked.
This meant that I had a very easy last level. Is this meant to happen? Do they think I'm one of them somehow?
I have to admit that it was pretty scary when they came running, but the only danger they posed was when they'd set off frag mines near me.
Happen to anyone else?

no, usually they make you toast. either kill them all or stealth through. i had other bugs, like they detected me through walls although I was silent and out of reach. had to reload a few times. I found that level rather amusing (and boring), it came across as comedy, a nice idea but the execution lacked.

I was certainly comedy to walk through it with what amounted to a crowd of screaming fans behind me.

I certainly had a shitload of fun, perched on top of a quadrant partition while several of the raving idiots got electrocuted, and I finally got that damned bit of popcorn husk out from between my tooth and gum.
Then I tossed some EMP grenades at the Bots (Always keep at least a coupla these around).
I used my Shotty on the remaining goons.
I shot Zhao with my stungun. :p

I thought the last boss was bugged.. Someone commented over in the other thread that this was the only boss that felt appropriate for the game, with the wall smashing and sneaking around and hacking and what not. I just walked up to the boss and pressed the button and shot the chick when she fell down, 3 times, and won?

You didn't have turrets turning you into mincemeat the entire time? Followed by bots and belltower thugs?
mothra on 7/9/2011 at 22:28
the turrets go down the minute you hack the panel, the belltower/robots never get to you/never even notice you if you pick a good vantage point (where the discharge does not get you as well). from there you can watch the show and snipe the boss. I don't know, after playing thru it 2 times (non-lethal/berserker) I am done with this game. Nothing really sticks, not the story, not the characters, the levels/enemies.....certain playstyles get punished by "less xp"....

I had to hack the 3 security panels on the outsides of the room while dodging turret fire, then go in and kill the human computers in the centre spire before the discharges even started. I had a hell of a time on this last boss battle and had to reload at least 6 times before I beat it.
I found a panel on the central structure, but I couldn't interact with it.
mothra on 9/9/2011 at 16:03
hmm, you get the code for the panel from hugh darrow, if not it is just a sec5 hack. it should be "useable"...
Jason Moyer on 9/9/2011 at 16:18
IIRC beating the conversation battle with Darrow gave me codes to 2 of the terminals. The third one I hacked. I'll admit I didn't try accessing the central one as I was too busy being torn apart by turret fire, and by the time I had the turrets shut down I was fighting the security bots/belltower guys and trying to take down the actual boss. Oh, and the only weapon I was carrying at that point was a stun gun (the only weapon I used in the entire game outside of the intro).
