That HP laptop looks fantastic casalor - I'm in the market for my first laptop and I think I'll take a look at that one.

Interestingly, I did have a look at the underside of the beast and it does appear to have space for a second hard drive and there's a 2 inch diameter grill off to one side with the label 'HP sub woofer' next to it. Now the sound in the laptop
is good but I don't know if this facility is ever active or not.

What do you think of the Thinkpad Edge series?
I'm liking the 13inch screen which has these specs:

Slightly over my £500 budget but i'd be willing to pay that and it has great reviews from what I can see. Plus...thinkpad! And it plays Mass Effect on that graphics chip. Although for some reason the intel core2duo is more expensive than that AMD Turion processor - why is this?
