The great thing about SD posting his opinion is that I then know for a fact that the opposite is true. You're a great barometer for bad ideas.
I mean, I'm just posting facts. Not sure what much more I can do than that.
Kind of wish some of our resident lawyers would pipe up here.

So if someone goes to a Trump rally with a rifle and gets the Trumpers to chase them they can turn around and shoot them and it's self defense?
I don't know why the particular flavour of rally/protest/riot/whatever would make any difference. If someone is carrying a weapon in a place where it is legal to do so, and they are attacked, and they legitimately fear for their wellbeing, then of course they would be justified in acting in self-defence.

The relevance is that Kyle is violent and as long as it's a girl he can use his fists but is too much of a puss to use them against a man who might win and thus shoots instead.
When I looked into crime statistics related to gun violence a few years ago, apparently prior incidents of violence and especially violence against women are one of the more reliable predictors of gun violence.

The skateboard is the ultimate weapon :) Die by skateboard :)
A stupid 17 year old assaulting girls and shooting people around him (have you seen the video of the killings?) can't "legitimately fear", 'cause he's a man-child seeking his inner chaos.
Please, stop being "intelligently" stupid you too, just to oppose "libtards" :) "Facts" are he's seeking a violent response to justify more violence. I'm not saying he's "evil", he's simply a subhuman product of a stupid "patriotic/heroic" culture. See Homelander in The Boys. Just the same but not evil, simply stupid.
And no, I don't want ANY laws defending stupidity.

Of course he's biased. The *SECOND* kill is clearly a chaotic murdering effect, not "self defense". The wannabe patriot just shoots people around him (and kill the one trying to disarm him after the *FIRST* kill).
@17 years you CAN'T be a soldier, only a stupid murderer (and a future nurse by promise, OF COURSE!) ;)

Good to know baiting is legal. It's a little sad that pusses who won't fist fight (except girls) can shoot unarmed people though. My conscience wouldn't let me do what Kyle did but I'm sure there are some on the left who will now try out this new defense for killing someone. Maybe we will see it at the next Unite the Right or January 6th event. "Over the counter with that shotgun... pretty soon everybody got one."

The left wing in the US doesn't seem to have the kind of echo chambers that can reliably turn up lone wolf vigilantes, though. I was worried about the rise of left-wing violence after the baseball game shooting, but it doesn't seem left-wing terrorism has had any significant uptick. Meanwhile, you have right-wing extremists killing people in vigilante justice, perpetrating mass shootings, brazenly attacking and threatening public officials, etc, all the while mainstream media is stoking fear about immigrants and non-white minorities and the insurrectionist wing of the Republican party openly fantasises about killing Democrats, liberal celebrities, and non-conforming Republicans.

It's true the left is against gun violence but it makes me wonder how far they can be pushed without a push back. And if they can do it like Rittenhouse did then there won't be any consequence. It might even have the added benefit of causing the right to look in the mirror. LOL no, nothing would, but it sure would be interesting to see them struggle to justify not letting the left go for doing the same thing they do. Too bad the left doesn't have as many murderers chomping at the bit to test it out. Sarcasm folks.

If history is any indication, they are more likely to start wearing colourful clothes and smoking pot and producing films like Punishment Park than anything else.
