Isn't it kumquats?
To get more on subject, I'm wondering if anyone else is having the difficulty I am. I tried starting the second part of Kvatch, but after leaving the Chapel, I was immediately faved with six Clannfears. With them all ganging up on me, I didn't have a chance.
Since then I've gotten Umbra, an AR of 64, and a Strength of 153. I'm fairly confident I can win now, but it still aggrivated me to no end when I finally decided to finish Kvatch... and couldn't.

I like the way you can close the gate and so get rid of the way in for the daedra, go into Kvatch and run away from the scamps and then come back later to see loads of scary beast monsters have appeared from nowhere and eaten the scamps.

Speaking of which, I was pretty mad that Daedra don't actively enter and leave the portals. You think they would, right? And when I first played the game, I ran right through the gate expecting to see Oblivion on the other side. Imagine my dismay when I realized I had to activate it.
So uncool.

I did it at around levels 22-25 (started at 22, finished at 25) with a glass sword, strength 90-100 and an incomplete daedric set rating around 70-dunno. If ya think you get mobbed bad after the chapel, wait until you reach the castle courtyard.
I just made lotsa health regen/restore fatigue potions then quaffed about 3 health regen and a fatigue regen potion before each major fight then just hit stuff till it died. Some fire or shock resistance/spell absorption stuff could help too.

geez. i did it w/ no armour from a dare from a friend. it was sooooooo easy. you really are a total noob. ryushi i will kill you

I did it pretty early, with iron armour, default difficulty. The actual difficulty of this isnt anything to do with skill, its what sort of weapon you use in what place.
e.g. I decided to have a little battle in the Imperial City. Facing the guards with longswords and shields was quite difficult with my own akaviri katana and shield, but as soon as I took my claymore out, the difficulty dramatically dropped. The same applies to the plains of Oblivion. Use a claymore against the average dremora, and your set. Use a longsword & shield against the scamps and attronachs, and your set.

You really do have to play around with it.
You'll find at the high end that one handers are better(speed * enchant damage = alot). But until that point I always had my daedric hammer and mace ready to roll.
