Vonnegut was one of the first serious writers that I got into. I was in my mid-teens at the time but his style was such that it has the ability to appeal to a very broad age range. I continued to try and read most of his works in the years that followed and I never read one that failed to impact me in a strong way. Timequake was the last piece of writing that I read of his; it was such an elegant, understated sort of book.

I remember hearing that he released 'A Man without a country' last year some time but I never got around to buying it.
