I suppose the difference between that particular word and the "less offensive" variant is the difference between four and fouh?
edit: I'm at work and I don't particularly want to write either word

No, the difference is that they have two separate meanings you tremendous dipshit.
Aircraftkiller on 28/11/2006 at 21:16
Aha. So once a word is mispronounced and/or misspelled, it has an entirely different meaning?
hot dam -- ur on 2 sumding!
Vigil on 28/11/2006 at 21:19
oh god get out you obtuse troll
Aircraftkiller on 28/11/2006 at 21:20
No thanks... I'm quite comfortable challenging your thoughts.
Vigil on 28/11/2006 at 21:32
Oh was that what you were doing? Sorry, I thought you were just oblivious to cultural nuances because you were a tosser. If I'd realised you were doing it to make a trenchant observation about race and language I would have baked a cake or something.
This is page 4 what is this stupid fucking thread still doing here?
Aircraftkiller on 28/11/2006 at 21:38
I stand by what I said before. I don't care what their "nuances" are. In a society where everyone has to somehow live together, you'd think that double-standards such as "we can call each other that particular word but don't you dare try it otherwise your career is shot down permanently (for some reason)" aren't really that conducive to relations between different races.

Neither is this:

But somehow I get the feeling that good race relations isn't really what you're interested in.

Jesus god. Vigil, I think I'm going to need you to field this one unless we can tag Monkeysee in because I'm too overwhelmed by the jungle to lift my claymore.
edit: IGNATIOS ON THE CASE
Aircraftkiller on 28/11/2006 at 21:48
I could say the same for Vigil. I don't know about you, though... and I was saying that I don't care about their nuances because that particular nuance isn't something that's been easily assimilated into American culture so far: People are still complaining about it even over the internet.
