Seems basically like a situation where he was pissed and said the absolute worst shit he could think of to shut them up. If someone asked me to make up somthing to piss off a black person (or any person), Im sure I could do it regardless of wether or not I was racist. I've never been racist towards black people, but if I had to make up some shit Im sure I could do it, and thats what it sounded like Richards was doing.
