So it's 5:40am. I just got back from Steak and Shake, having grown hungry from watching too much Cowboy Bebop (just purchased the entire season on DVD, I recommend it). I ordered cheese fries and they didn't give me enough cheese...
Well, I took out some Kraft Singles out of the fridge, slapped them on top of my fries, microwaved 'em, and ate up.
But...
the last time I remember buying kraft singles was more than two years ago.I mean, it had no mold and it didn't smell or taste bad, but I can't help but think maybe I devoured an evolving micro-civilization in my cheese slices. I'd frankly be amazed if I don't get sick in the next 24 hours. Even if it barely qualifies, this is still cheese we're talking about. A lot of things less prone to mold than cheese can go bad in much shorter time.
How long does this stuff stay good for? Anyone eaten a slice older than mine? (Yes, I suppose this thread is pointless and I don't expect to die or anything. Just thought I'd share, really).

I am surprised nobody has mentioned CheezWhizz. Who would have thought to bottle cheese? It's processed cheese but it resembles some kind of plastic or putty..But I believe Cheez and whizz are two words that shouldn't be together.
There are some fine cheeses out there. Why wouldn't someone just take the time to manually slice some up?

I went blind at this point. Will someone please tell me that he didn't eat the resulting chemical spill. I need to be able to sleep at night...

Fine cheese is for fruits, real men eat cheetos! With barbeque sauce! And WD-40!

After Katrina hit, my job was cleaning out the fridge. :eww: The power had been off for weeks & weeks. Almost everything was stinky & moldy. There was only one thing in there that still looked like what it started out as...half a block of Velveeta wrapped in plastic wrap. It was more ovoid than rectangular, but it still looked like Velveeta.
