Can anyone tell me where I can find the area shown in this screenshot, posted by ShadowWolf a while back?

I'm sure I've been there, but I can't remember how to get there. Once I'm there, I can use the screenshot to get the secret -- but I have to get there, first!
Thanks,
Dafydd

Dafydd:
It's been a looong time since I played this one and I'm not 1000% sure I get it right, but it should be in the open area beyond the rear exit of the guard house. Go left along the rear wall and turn up your beta - and save, cause it is bloody narrow, especially to get out of there

Great! Thanks, Dirtyoldman.
I ended up with 3 out of 0 secrets, 5199 out of whatever, no damage taken, and all AI* either unconscious (humans) or killed (the haunts). At the end, I still had a gas arrow left, so I even took the time to climb up to the roof and snipe at the inaccessible guard who strolls past the gate where you start. Hey, call me a completist: if I set out to KO everybody, I want to carry through!
The last secret took me a couple tries to get and not get stuck. The way I was finally able to get it and get out again was this: I crept forward very slowly, leaning after every couple of steps, until I was just barely able to frob the scroll; then, scroll in hand, I crept forward like someone had just said "Niagra Falls" (step by step, inch by inch). I kept leaning forward and right, until finally the scroll minimized -- and I grabbed the brooch. At that point, I wasn't too far in to be able to wriggle out, with a couple of jumps and a lot of squirming.
Anyway, that's how I did it. The first time, I climbed all the way in -- and of course promptly understood the deeper philosophical meaning of the scroll!

Getting that scroll was MADDENING... thank God I saved a couple times...once before I went in that crevice and then a new save once I was in there (in case I just couldn't get back out!). :eww:
@Dafydd- Been a LOOOOONG time since I heard that N Falls skit! :laff:
Am in the mansion, through the barracks, down a very long corridor, downstairs about a half-level & through double-doors : - there's a big area with arches, goddam marble floors &, of course, an amazing number of lights. Am down to 5 water & 5 moss arrows, no noisemakers, gas arrows or gas mines.
Is there anyway around this area? If not, I think I'll just chuck this one in...
I have'nt seen this many lights in a Department Store during Xmas shopping!!
Edit : never mind, killed my way through, only to find more of the same - now have given it up.

I've been replaying this level, and through Garrettloader the community rating was only 6 (with only 3 people rating it). This deserves a much higher rating and I hope people don't rate it down because of difficulty. It is very imaginative and lots of fun. I'm stuck right now but will probably find an answer in this thread.
Anyone who hasn't played this FM yet should give it a chance.

I'm rating this fm 8, which will elevate the average community rating.
If anyone hasn't played this mission yet, do so. It's hard and you will want to bookmark this thread, but it has a bit of everything in it and quite enjoyable.

After taking a swim, I come up into a room with a boulder and a boarded up area. I break the boards and go a bit further.
The second coffin on th right has a switch hidden behind it, but I can't tell what it does.
Help! This is the room with the coffin and a monument that says something about looking all around to get out.
Thanks! :erg:
It might be a good time to resurrect this thread, as a few people seem to be replaying this FM or - like me - playing it for the first time.
On Expert, I have completed all the Objectives, but I have only 2 of the 3 secrets and I'm some way off maximum loot. I also have not visited the area mentioned in the quoted post. Can anyone recall how it is accessed?

Getting into the crypt mentioned in the old post above is easy and difficult at the same time... ;-)
If you have the sewer key you can open the sewer hatch next to the starting point. Climb the ladder down to find a niche with lots of skulls.
The other option would be to enter via the sewer access in the guard station and work your way through to this place. This is what I did.
In the niche you have to find a hidden switch behind a skull - which then opens a trapdoor under the ladder. Continue there!
You should find your way then.
A final hint for the crypt, if you have problems there: Inspect *all* four coffins behind the planks - or rather the walls near them...

Thanks. I think I had found a gem behind one of those skulls, and made the mistake of assuming that was all there was to find!
