The left one can be opened but will take several attempts depending on your Technical skill, keep trying and it should unlock eventually. You will find a Saber and Longsword inside.

The named rock can be used with swords to improve them magically :) Don't remember the stats now.

when you come from the goblin cave, the first tunnel to your left leads to a 'window' from the tavern. The next tunnel leads to smouldering debris and a dead-end. The ring is under that pile of debris.

You know what ?! I've went through the demo more than 4 times and I had never noticed this cave !!!!! But now, I really think I didn't miss anything.

I think it might be a teleporter of somekind..i've seen screenshots of one that hasn't been destroyed and thats what it reminded me of.
