Ok. Here's my take on KotOR2.
KotOR2 is like sex.
It's like if you just met a girl in a bar, and you go home with her because she's kind of cute like a girl you used to know in school. And when you get there, you sit on the couch and have a drink and talk, and the next thing you know you're kissing and feeling. And she winds up with her hands down your pants and yours down her's. Except WHOA!
"Why do you have a gun in your panties!?"
"Just pretend that wasn't there and we'll talk about it later."
"Oh....uh...okay."
And then she unzips her jeans, drops the pistol off the side of the very cushiony couch, onto the ground (and it thankfully doesn't go off), and starts groping you again. There's some 69 and a lot of pheromones and acrobatics and she wants to be on top and you're not exactly sure what is where. And then WHAM!
Premature ejaculation.
Now, I don't personally know, but I see the commercials every time I'm watching the news or something, and everyone seems like it's some major problem and there's drugs for it and everything. I'm guessing it's an enormous letdown, strictly based on the grin that the guys seem to be walking around with after they're consumed the alleviating drug. I've learned it's the journey that's most important, but that's because I have security. I know I'm completely capable of reaching the goal, and that the real fun is how to get there. Lots of different options and it just keeps getting better until the climax, and smoothly fades into resolution and maybe a re-game. When you have no idea what in the world you're supposed to be doing and you're completely naive, you might understandably have some minor weapon malfunctions once or twice. But even with a little experience, there are people who can't quite reach the goal no matter their enthusiasm.
Just like that, KotOR2 tries, but expends itself before it's supposed to.
Kreia shows up, and lo and behold, she's got a telepathic/Force bond with you and a loaded pistol in her panties. If you manage to shrug that one off, you're helping the Ithorians rebuild Telos, and then you're back on Dantooine with some hot KotOR1 position-69 action, revisiting the remains of the enclave and the crystal caves. And then it really gets good on Nar Shaddaa and Onderon, with all manner of joinable NPC's and dialogue and whinny backstories and traumatized psyches and influence and Force Powers and new equipment and things you've never done before.
And then you mow your way through a hoard of Sith, get a 90-second Fallout Ending of all the planets you influenced (there might even be some kind of bugs in there and growths you're not really sure about[!?]), and then "Special Thanks to: George Lucas" scrolls by. If I was a grrl gamer, I'm not sure I'd call him again. If I did, I think it would be for lunch on a weekday. I'm not sure if it's the Obsidian or the Lucasarts that went wrong.
As long as you enjoy the journey, it's a hell'va ride to Antarctica.

TOTALLY AGREE...I think there might have been one but it wasn't really obvious...and I hope if they make a KoToR 3 that it involves going after Revan at least, I was hoping that would happen, but NOOOO we get to be led on a leash by an old Hag who
TRAINED REVAN
and then at the end we are left thinking to ourselves "I played around 30+ hours FOR THIS?" but overall ejsmight I must say great review :thumb:

They had to cut some endings in order to make it for the Christmas 2004.
The Obsidian Forums had some posts about it a while back, people delved into the code and brought up the scenes, audio and all. (By which I mean, they had already recorded the audio, but had not created the cutscene yet.)

KOTOR2 is what happens when you give someone twelve months to do a game- the bits which are good are very good, but the bad bits are awful. Reminds me a bit of SS2 actually, thought K2 is more extreme.

what you expect it's Lucas Arts you can't make a Star Wars game in 12 months and expect it to run fine (KOTOR2) or to be good (Jedi Knigth 2)

Dark Forces 3: Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast was bad now? I liked it (not saying much)... Or do you mean Jedi Academy?
